The Onslow College library is the hub of research and a great spot to study and read. Not only does the library have a wide range of books available, it also offers magazines, DVDs and AV equipment.
The library is not limited to the physical space it occupies, but is ubiquitous by the nature of the services it provides. Technology has broadened its scope to allow access to databases, not only from school, but also from home or anywhere else beyond normal library hours. Access to EPIC databases, funded by the Ministry of education, gives access to quality journals, magazines, eBooks, audio visual items and images.
Students also have access to educational and other videos from Clickview, an online video database subscribed to by the school. This is a great tool to help and support online learning.
Access to all these online options are available to students anywhere, anytime from the Library Homepage. The library link below will take you directly to it, as will the quick link on the Onslow College Moodle page.
Open 8.00am to 4.00pm daily.
Closes slightly earlier on days when staff need to attend meetings.
Parent Help in the Library - can you help? There is a small group of parents who volunteer in the Onslow College Library for 25 minutes during the morning tea break each day. This allows the library staff to go to morning tea with the rest of the staff. We are currently looking for more people to join our group of volunteers. Can you help? Could you cover the 25 min slot one morning a fortnight? Or, if you are really keen you are welcome to help out weekly! If you would like to help in the Library or you have any questions, I would love to hear from you.
