Tennis 2020

Jude Anderson made it onto the top 16 draw for the under 16s indoor tennis nationals and the players competed in Christchurch in August.

A fantastic effort by Tuhina Sambhus as she was runner up in the Elite tournament (15 & U ) held over the weekend fighting her battle in the finals falling short of 3 points on a super tie break. Amazing!

Onslow College student Danae Abolins-Thompson has been selected to attend the 2019 New Zealand Netball Development Camp in 2019. Of the 50 school aged netballers chosen from around New Zealand were selected Danae was one of only seven chosen from the Wellington region. Being chosen for this camp is one of the steps towards being selected in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Team.

Selection was based upon performances at National Age Group Championships, Regional Secondary Schools and NZSS Championships and in conjunction with Zone led talent identification programmes. The 3-day camp in Cambridge will include a competitive short-tournament structure to observe players' ability to thrive under pressure. They will be led by coaching experts including Jodi Brown, Irene van Dyk, Sandra Edge, Rebecca Gable and Anna Galvan.
