Onslow College enters approximately 7-10 teams in the Netball Wellington Saturday competitions each year. All teams (apart from Senior A) will play against other colleges in the Collegiate grades, with teams in Collegiate 1-3 playing at ASB Sports Centre in the mornings, and teams in Collegiate 4-5 playing at the Hataitai Netball Courts in the afternoons.
Pre Season Training: Pre season training is likely to be offered if there is sufficient interest from players. This will include sessions based on fitness, ball skills and some game play to help girls get back into netball before trials and before the season starts. Dates are to be confirmed - all registered girls will be contacted about these.

During trials, exceptional junior players will be considered for the Senior A team. Therefore, some juniors may be asked to attend the senior trial following the junior trial.
(if these dates or times change, or any extra trials get added, based on numbers of registered girls, all students who have signed up will be notified via email and the daily notices)
Training: Before school, lunchtime or after school depending on court availability and coach availability. The Senior A team will likely train twice a week.
Teams will play at the ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie or Hataitai Courts on Saturdays, depending on the grade.

Umpiring: All teams MUST have an umpire - teams may be required to supply their own if the convenors are unable to secure enough help.
Onslow College umpires are paid for umpiring games. Each team member will pay for this service as part of their fees for the season. Umpires will be paid each term directly to their bank account. Please see the Sports Office if you are interested.
There are lots of opportunities to become part of the Wellington Netball Umpires group and gain qualifications and mentoring - talk to the Sports Office for information.
Parent help required: Every team needs a coach, manager and umpire. We would be very grateful for your help.
