Image previewThe College Sport Wellington League is played in the gyms of participating schools with the Premier Division and Division 1 games played at the ASB Stadium in Kilbirnie.

Social teams entered in the WBA league will only be considered for Year 13 students. Fees for this league must be paid in advance before a team will be registered. Please approach the Sports Office well in advance of the season if you have a group interested in the WBA league.

Trials: TBC

Training:  All teams train on Sunday. Some teams will have a second training during the week.

Competition: Juniors - Tuesday nights, games generally start at 5.00pm or 6.30pm. 

Seniors - Friday nights, games generally start at 6.00pm or 7.30pm. 

WBA - Thursday nights at ASB Sports Centre

Uniforms:  Each player will be loaned a uniform (singlet and shorts).  They will need to provide their own socks and footwear. It is compulsory for every player to wear a mouthguard.

Referees: Every team must have a dedicated referee to enter the competition.  Training courses and mentoring will be offered to any student or parent wishing to help referee.  Referees are transported to games and paid. 

Cost:

$160 - Senior A teams playing in CSW Premier Division or Division 1.

$100  - All other teams. 

NB: Players who are selected in the Zone or National tournaments will incur further fees and uniform costs (tracksuit) and should expect to be involved in fundraising to help with these costs.

$140 - WBA teams

$20 Uniform hire per student.

Parent Help: Each team requires a coach, manager and referee to take part in this sport.  In addition, transport is required to all away games.  Parents are invited to join the Basketball Committee. Please contact the Director of Sport.
