KIA ORA - WELCOME  

Welcome to the International Department. Onslow College staff and students welcome enrolments from overseas international students and enjoys the opportunity to learn about different cultures. We offer two programmes:

1.  An academic programme leading to university entrance. This programme usually takes two to three years and prepares students for entry to university in New Zealand and other English speaking countries.
 

 2. A cultural exchange and language programme. Students in this programme spend 6 months to one year studying with New Zealand students. Students improve their use of the English language and gain an understanding of the New Zealand way of life.
  

Currently there are about 32 overseas students enrolled at Onslow. They are mainly from Germany, Brazil, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and South Korea. We also have exchange students from Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and Chile.

The New Zealand secondary school system is one of the best in the world, rating near the top in international studies. Further information about international rankings can be found on the PISA website.
