Parent Support Group
This page is for the Learning Support Parent Support Group. The group is for parents of students who receive learning support within Onslow College. Parents of Year 8 students expecting to attend College next year and receive learning support are also invited to join.
The group aims to provide
- a support network for parents so their children can achieve to their potential at Onslow
- information on both general school initiatives and specific initiatives for learning support students
- efficient liaison between the Learning Support Department, College and parents to discuss a range of matters common to many students
- additional opportunities for parents to learn and discuss topics such as course selection, supporting students in NCEA, transition into and from school, etc.
The group meets roughly every six to eight weeks at the College on topics predetermined by the participants.
