Principal's Message
Onslow College takes great pride in delivering the best possible educational opportunities for those students fortunate to attend the school.
We believe every student can achieve academic success and have an extensive pastoral care network to help them achieve to their potential. A strong partnership with home is a key ingredient in this goal and we both value and encourage parents and families to take an active interest in their child's achievements at school. Working together we can help our young people develop their individual strengths and identities and build the confidence to be able to contribute to society.
A strong culture of community exists in the school and we have clear standards and expectations for all members of the school community.
We place great importance on students being engaged in their learning and developing a pathway through their school career that sets them up for success in their future. Students enjoy being at Onslow College and academically we rate among the top schools in New Zealand. Students leave Onslow feeling well prepared for their future.
While academic achievement is very important, we also recognise the value of learning which occurs outside the classroom. We support and encourage a diverse range of sporting and cultural activities and our students achieve success at both regional and national level in a wide range of activities.
We firmly believe Onslow College provides an excellent educational environment for its students and welcome new enrolments or inquiries about the college.
If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
